On Saturday, San Antonio activists took half in a statewide day of motion protesting Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s anti-immigrant agenda.
Final month, Abbott threatened to withhold $200 million in funding from Austin, Dallas and Houston for passing insurance policies that restrict police cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The cities handed these measures in response to Republican-backed state legal guidelines which give the state unprecedented immigration enforcement powers.
Right here’s what we noticed as protesters gathered in entrance of Metropolis Corridor and marched by way of downtown to push again towards Abbott’s escalating struggle on immigrants.
