About Jingu Home
In 1916, Park Commissioner Ray Lambert regarded out over the rocky pit left behind from what was once a limestone quarry and cement manufacturing facility and envisioned as an alternative a tranquil Japanese backyard with a waterfall and koi pond. Kimi Eizo Jingu was enlisted to supervise the tearoom and plantings within the backyard, and a comfy stone home with a thatched-roof was constructed for his household.
