Twang Manufacturers, the San Antonio-based purveyor of beer salts and michelada mixes, has bought the a part of its enterprise that markets merchandise to nationwide and regional foodservice manufacturers, in line with firm officers.

Solina USA Inc. — a U.S. division of a prime European customized ingredient producer — has bought Twang Foodservice, which produces custom-made beverage techniques, dry beverage mixes, taste concentrates and seasonings for the foodservice business. The businesses didn’t reveal phrases of the sale.

The excellent news right here for followers of Twang’s beer salts and mixes is that the packaged-goods portion of the 40-year-old firm stays within the palms of the founding Treviño household and co-investors.

The enterprise will proceed to be run from the Alamo Metropolis with manufacturing operations in Rioverde, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, firm officers stated.

Twang Manufacturers CEO Elysia Treviño-Gonzales stated the deal was three years within the making and can go away the household enterprise in a stronger place.

“We stay up for capitalizing on this partnership with Solina for future development,” Treviño-Gonzales stated in an announcement. “This separation from Twang Manufacturers will allow the Twang Manufacturers administration group to give attention to driving our household’s model into the long run.”

Based by Roger Treviño Sr. in his household’s storage, Twang has since expanded its retail footprint to all 50 states and tens of hundreds of retail shops. In 2023, the corporate inked a deal to place its merchandise in 3,500 Walmart retailers nationwide.
