A brand new sandwich franchise will quickly give the Hill Nation one thing to bawk about. Atlanta-based Hen Salad Chick will open its first Boerne location at 34702 I-10 W on Could 20.

Auburn, Alabama, mother Stacy Brown began the fast-casual chain as a cottage operation, supplying associates and native companies out of her residence. Her late husband, Kevin Brown, helped her launch a small takeout cafe in 2008, which quickly blossomed right into a nationwide franchise with greater than 330 places in 22 states.

The restaurant first set its sights on the San Antonio space in 2021, signing an eight-unit take care of native franchisee OberRoc LLC. Since then, the corporate has opened three Alamo Metropolis outposts and a unit in New Braunfels.

Hen Salad Chick makes no bones about its menu, providing its signature dish in scoops like lemon basil, dill pickle, bacon ranch, or the Fruity Fran spiked with apples, grapes, and pineapple. (We predict we’d be besties.)

If poultry ruffles company’ feathers, it additionally serves broccoli salads, pimento cheese, and soups like hen tortilla or loaded potato. Desserts keep within the Southern lane too, with decadent confections like a chocolate rice cereal bar and crimson velvet cake.

As with all Hen Salad Chick openings, the Boerne outpost will debut with some Southern hospitality. The primary 100 company in line at 10 am on Could 20 will obtain free hen salad for a yr (some restrictions apply), adopted by three days of complimentary swag. The restaurant may also be elevating funds for Christus Kids’s Hospital.

For the previous 25 years, my companions and I’ve been adamant about investing in our native communities and giving again to these we serve,” says co-owner Rosemarie Acerra in a launch. “We’re excited to continue to grow with this particular model and assembly our new company in Boerne quickly.”

Following the Could 20 grand opening, Hen Salad Chick will likely be open Monday by Saturday, 10 am-8 pm.
