Celebrated San Antonio bakery La Panadería is firing up the ovens in Stone Oak. The long-anticipated new cafe at 1011 N. Loop 1604 E., the beloved chain’s fifth outpost, is making its official debut on December 17.

The brand new La Panadería takes over the previous residence of Brick Home Tavern and Faucet, which shuttered in 2022. Based on a launch, it’s the model’s largest location but with 6,600 sq. toes, 100 devoted parking areas, and a spacious coated patio.

“We have at all times believed in rising thoughtfully and with our friends in thoughts,” stated co-owner Jose Cáceres in an earlier launch. “Stone Oak is a vibrant and rising space, and we’re excited to carry La Panadería to a brand new a part of the town.”

Since debuting in 2014, La Panadería has develop into one among San Antonio’s greatest culinary forces, nabbing nationwide consideration and a James Beard Award nomination. Vacationers and locals line up every day for pan dulce and fusion treats just like the croncha — a hybrid between a croissant and a Mexican concha. These in search of one thing extra substantial can take pleasure in quite a lot of sandwiches on house-made bread, contemporary salads, and all-day breakfast.

Just like the La Cantera Heights and Midtown outposts, the brand new cafe will carry spirits with a full bar stocked with beer, wine, and mimosa kits. Greater octane choices embrace margaritas, palomas, spritzes, and low cocktails like carajillos. Freshly squeezed juices and espresso drinks can be found for teetotalers.

The brand new restaurant will have fun its grand opening from 11 am-2 pm on December 17. In the course of the festivities, friends can have the possibility to fulfill Don Lino, the chain’s first-ever mascot. The character’s backstory was written by cofounder José Cáceres’ son, Emiliano Cáceres Manzano.

Following the debut, La Panadería will probably be open Monday via Friday, 7 am-8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7 am-6 pm.
