The San Antonio Choral Society’s Echoes in Time live performance, scheduled for Sunday, June 2, will spotlight choral works each new and previous.
The 100-voice choir will showcase “haunting melodies of historical chants to up to date compositions that problem the boundaries of vocal expression,” in keeping with organizers. Organist Geoffrey Waite will accompany the choir, which will likely be below the route of Jennifer Seighman.
The live performance will happen within the stunning and historic St. John’s Lutheran Church in downtown San Antonio in anticipation of the Choral Society’s France and England tour: From Cathedrals to Castles. Anticipate to listen to works by English, French and American composers, which the group additionally will carry out at prestigious venues reminiscent of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford.
