Austin-based Alex Jones, who was final 12 months ordered to pay $1.5 billion in damages to the households of Sandy Hook victims for speaking out of his ass about “what actually occurred” in Newtown, is now selling a conspiracy principle concerning the photo voltaic eclipse seen over San Antonio subsequent week.
The batshit principle goes one thing like this: the whole photo voltaic eclipse has one thing to do with the traditional Assyrians and is an indication of the pending New World Order. Additional, we widespread people might be pressured to repent for our sins — and the sins of our enemies. And, oh yeah, Homeland Safety has one thing to do with it a technique or one other.
It is all specified by an eight-minute video posted on Jones’ InfoWars on-line accounts earlier this month. Naturally, the clip ends with Jones selling his $9.95 fluoride-free toothpaste.
Hey, he is acquired to repay that settlement one way or the other.
To most level-headed of us, Jones is a conspiracy-bellowing blowhard — one thing obvious since his 1999 launch of InfoWars. Quick ahead to at the moment, although, and he is just one voice in a deafening refrain of shrill consideration seekers who appear to assume the reality is what you make of it. Want proof? Spend 5 minutes on X, previously generally known as Twitter.
The Baltimore Bridge Collapse? Managed demolition. Drownings at Woman Chook Lake in Austin? Serial killer. And do not even get them began on what actually occurred to Kate Middleton.
Not solely has social media, particularly billionaire Elon Musk’s X, given others a platform to emulate Jones, it is allowed them to revenue from the madness. For self-described “citizen journalists” or “actual information” accounts, the crazier the tweet, the extra followers and, the hope goes, the extra subscribers.
Assclown Jones walked so these morons may run. And society’s collective thoughts is being fried because of this.
