Sunnyside Lounge is now open at 4518 West Ave.
New tiki-inspired cocktail bar Sunnyside Lounge has opened within the former area of shuttered Balcones Heights watering gap The Texan Icehouse.
The indoor-outdoor nightspot quietly opened March 2, providing a “dimly lit but vibrant atmosphere” together with glad hour reductions, in accordance with latest social media posts from its homeowners.
The Texan, 4518 West Ave., identified for its vigorous glad hours and robust service-industry patronage, shut down final April. It had been in operation since 2013.
Sunnyside Lounge is open 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday by Saturday.
