Bison, owls and bears, oh my!
On the final weekend of January — rain or shine — company on the Briscoe Western Artwork Museum may have the chance to stroll on the wild facet as a part of the Wild West Wildlife Competition.
The free household pleasant fest, held within the Briscoe’s Jack Guenther Pavilion on the River Stroll, options animal-themed storytelling, wild arts and crafts and hands-on experiences with Texas wildlife artifacts — to not point out free admission to the museum and its present exhibitions.
Actions vary from make-your-own hummingbird feeders, bison masks and bear fork work to schooling on San Antonio wildlife tracks from the Mitchell Lake Audubon Heart. Actual animal skins, cranium replicas and even owl pellets can be on show, all of which supply home windows into the various tales the pure world has to inform. There’s one thing for creatures of all ages — even the youngest, who’ve the Cub Cove Toddler Zone and Miss Anastasia’s storytime to get pleasure from.
Plus, there’s grub out there on the market from the Lada Women meals truck.
