Texas Training Company closes investigation into San Antonio ISD

The Texas Training Company on Wednesday dropped an investigation into whether or not San Antonio Impartial College District improperly dealt with a baby abuse allegation, district spokeswoman Laura Quick confirmed.

“The investigative warnings beforehand related to the superintendent’s certification file have additionally been faraway from the Educator Certification On-line System account,” Quick stated.

SAISD officers stated the TEA notified them of the investigation on June 15, at which level the state company requested details about whether or not the district notified Baby Protecting Companies (CPS) about an alleged incident of kid abuse at one in all its campuses, as its required to do underneath legislation.

The district responded by handing over documentation confirming campus officers contacted CPS, in line with Quick.

“The circumstances surrounding the investigation had been deemed to not warrant additional motion by this Division presently and the case is being administratively closed,” the TEA instructed the district in a letter after receiving the extra particulars.

The closure of the investigation comes as SAISD Superintendent Jaime Aquino counts down his ultimate weeks on the district.

In March, Aquino abruptly introduced plans to retire in January 2027. On Monday, SAISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously appointed district chief of workers Toni Thomson because the district’s interim superintendent, and Aquino is now anticipated to step down July 1.
