Matt Garcia made a culinary pivot. He left a prime sandwich store, GiGi’s Deli, to assist open a brand new cocktail bar and bistro, Miles.
Between departure and launch, Garcia received a CultureMap Tastemaker Award for Rising Chef of the 12 months.
“It was a shock to me,” stated Garcia, who claimed the award on Could 14. “There are such a lot of nice cooks in that class who I revere and respect. “Miles in three phrases – funky, genuine and totally different,” Guerrero defined in an Instagram publish. “I believe San Antonio is tremendous prepared for this idea.”
