Fantastic Symphonic Orchestra, South Texas Symphonic Orchestra, to Provide a Free Live performance That includes a World Premiere Efficiency
San Antonio welcomes this Fantastic Symphonic Orchestra!
Because the San Antonio Symphony went bankrupt in 2022, there’s been a spot to fill when it comes to alternatives to take pleasure in magnificent symphonic experiences within the Alamo Metropolis. This shall be a WORLD PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of his music, titled “A Traveler’s Fantasy,” together with an adventurous program, together with works by Brahms, Berlioz and Aaron Copland. “Via this piece, I wished to convey the hope that I held onto in the course of the pandemic, the struggles that I held inside, and the perseverance that stored me going. When given the chance, I hope others are prepared to take the step towards their dream, even in occasions of uncertainty,” says composer, Uchiyama-Penix.

ABOUT CONDUCTOR DR. RONNIE SANDERS
“It’s my honest hope this live performance will deliver extra consciousness, donors and grants to STXSO, however, extra importantly, my dream is to encourage individuals of all ages to fall in love with symphonic music,” says Sanders.
Hailed by Diane Windler as “a conductor with authority on the rostrum,” Ronnie Sanders made his Carnegie Corridor conducting debut in a critically acclaimed efficiency with the New England Philharmonic Orchestra in 2005. Sanders studied on the Juilliard Faculty in New York Metropolis and holds a grasp’s diploma in conducting from the College of Houston and a Physician of Musical Arts diploma from Boston College. Sanders served as a state commissioner for the Texas Fee on the Arts from 2011 – 2018.
Sanders was privileged to have been personally coached by Maestro Milton Katims, conductor of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra from 1954 – 1976. Katims was a conducting protégé of Italian conductor Arturo Toscanini. Not solely is Sanders a longtime orchestral conductor, he has performed opera, ballet, concerti, choral works and quite a few musicals. His imaginative and prescient for the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra is to serve our local people of musicians who’re extremely expert and have a ardour to carry out on the highest inventive ranges.

WESLEY S. UCHIYAMA-PENIX BIO
Wesley S. Uchiyama-Penix (b. 1994) is a composer, producer, audio engineer, sound designer, educator and performer within the San Antonio/Austin space.
After receiving his B.M. in Music Training and Certificates of Clarinet Efficiency on the College of Texas at San Antonio, Wesley determined to make composing music his predominant focus. Afterwards, Wesley attended Texas State College to acquire his M.M. in Music Composition the place he continued to develop his music writing for the normal and digital/pc setting, and for numerous media similar to dance, movie, and online game. Wesley has studied below Ethan Wickman, Michael Ippolito and Richard Corridor.
