The Sicilian Butcher — a restaurant chain recognized for its build-your-own meatballs and five-foot charcuterie boards — is opening its first San Antonio location on Friday, Nov. 21.

Positioned at 5546 N. Loop 1604 West, the brand new eating spot joins a rising restaurant hub close to the outer loop’s interchange with I-10. Neighboring eateries embrace the town’s second Fogo de Chao location together with Pappadeux and Rock and Brews. 

Husband-and-wife duo Joey and Cristina Maggiore launched the Sicilian Butcher in Phoenix in 2017, serving up Sicilian-inspired pastas, bruschetta boards and hearty pizzas. It’s since expanded to 6 areas. The Alamo Metropolis retailer can be its third in Texas.

The San Antonio restaurant additionally can have a bakery, dubbed The Sicilian Baker, which affords rotating gelato flavors, hand-filled cannoli, and conventional Italian pastries akin to sfogliatelle. In line with the build-your-own meatball theme on The Sicilian Butcher menu, diners can decide to construct their very own cannoli.

Drinks-wise, The Sicilian Butcher affords a diverse choice of wines from California, Washington, France and Italy together with a cocktail menu that includes on-brand drinks such because the Statue of David, the Mediterranean Manhattan and Signore Hugo.
