
After six years in operation, Southtown eating fixture The Good Form has formally closed its doorways
Chef-owner Tim McDiarmid confirmed the closure to the Present on Monday, citing a “mixture of causes,” together with burnout and household circumstances.
McDiarmid launched The Good Form in 2017 on the Pearl earlier than relocating to Southtown two years later. A 12 months prior, she had launched Ivy Corridor, an occasion house housed within the former house of The Monterey on South St. Mary’s Avenue.
The second iteration of The Good Form started serving in 2019 on the identical property and rapidly earned a loyal following for its lush backyard patio, health-conscious fare and regular lineup of group occasions.
Over time, the restaurant and occasion house racked up quite a few accolades and have become a Southtown staple.
McDiarmid informed the Present she has “no plans for opening one other restaurant,” including that she’s now centered full-time on her teaching and consulting enterprise, The Bravery Technique.
McDiarmid first entered San Antonio’s culinary scene in 2011 with Tim the Lady Catering, recognized for its recent, wholesome, farm-to-table dishes with an emphasis on native components.
Each Ivy Corridor and Tim the Lady Catering stay open and in operation, though now underneath new administration.
