Mission Marvel’s visionary Lori Houston retires from Metropolis Corridor

San Antonio’s Assistant Metropolis Supervisor Lori Houston, a driving power behind lots of the metropolis’s largest initiatives, is exiting her position at Metropolis Corridor.

Houston began on the metropolis as an intern 23 years in the past.

When Mayor Phil Hardberger was elected in 2005, she was tapped to execute the Museum Attain and Mission Attain River Stroll extensions.

Houston’s departure comes simply days after the Metropolis Council authorized a time period sheet signaling assist for the plan. Her final day with the town might be Sept. 26.

“It’s been the consideration of my profession to assist form initiatives which have moved our metropolis ahead,” Houston stated in a press release. “I’m extremely pleased with what we’ve constructed collectively, and I’m deeply grateful for the alternatives the Metropolis has given me to develop as a pacesetter, a collaborator, and a public servant.”

Houston stated she plans to do some “mild consulting” and assist her ageing dad and mom whereas spending extra time with household.
