The start of the meerkats, also called Suricata suricatta, coincides with the reopening of a particular habitat for the animals inside Kronkosky’s Tiny Tot Nature Spot, zoo officers stated. The earlier meerkat habitat closed 27 years in the past.

The revamped meerkat habitat now homes a bigger and extra lively household of the mammals, in response to zoo officers.
“These little meerkat infants are an absolute delight,” San Antonio Zoo CEO Tim Morrow stated in an announcement. “We’re thrilled to supply our guests the chance to witness these fascinating animals up shut and personally.”
Households can see the meerkats and expertise the brand new facility through the facility’s annual Zoo Boo!, which runs by Oct. 31.
