Grammy-nominated metalcore band As I Lay Dying is taking part in Vibes Stay within the Rock Field this Sunday with Salt Lake Metropolis deathcore rockers Chelsea Grin and progressive dying steel act Entheos rounding out the invoice.
As I Lay Dying is touring in assist of its first new single in 5 years, “Burden,” launched by Napalm Information. The San Diego band’s coast-to-coast tour, which kicked off July 9 in Santa Cruz, additionally will embrace performances at Hardcore Fest and New England Steel Fest.

In 2014, As I Lay Dying went on indefinite hiatus after lead singer Tim Lambesis was convicted of plotting to homicide his spouse. Unbeknownst to Lambesis, the hitman he tried to rent was truly an undercover cop, in accordance with information experiences. Lambesis pled responsible and was sentenced to 6 years in jail. He was freed after serving lower than three years.

As I Lay Dying’s present iteration consists of guitarist Ken Susi and drummer Nick Pierce, previously of Unearth. They’re joined by bassist and vocalist Ryan Neff of Miss Could I and rhythm guitarist Phil Sgrosso, the one present member aside from Lambesis who beforehand performed in As I Lay Dying.
