San Antonio’s Guadalupe Cultural Arts Heart has opened submissions for the Teatro Salón Desk Studying Sequence.
The collection permits Texas playwrights to check out their work and obtain constructive criticism from their friends and the general public through a well-rehearsed open stage studying, in accordance with organizers. The deadline to submit unproduced scripts is 4 p.m. March 31.
The Guadalupe will choose a pool of two to 3 scripts from the submissions for a studying within the August-September timeframe. Thus far, the collection has culminated in two full theatrical productions: La Niña Girasol by J. Cesar Duenas (June 2022) and Las Comadres de Morales Road by Irene Chavez (March 2025).
The decision is open to all established and non-established writers within the Lone Star State. Whereas writers of all genres are welcome to submit scripts, the theme should mirror the Latinx, Chicanx or Tejano expertise.
