Abraham Quintanilla, father of Tejano star Selena, has died

Abraham Isaac Quintanilla Jr., the daddy of late Tejano music icon Selena, has died at age 86.

Quintanilla’s son, musician A.B. Quintanilla III, shared the information in a Saturday morning Instagram publish.

“It’s with a heavy coronary heart to allow you to guys know that my Dad handed away as we speak,” the youthful Quintanilla wrote.

Abraham Quintanilla based the band Los Dinos in his hometown of Corpus Christi and served as Selena’s supervisor from the beginning of her music profession, which led to 1995 along with her homicide at age 23.

After her demise, he diligently safeguarded his daughter’s picture and continued to advertise her music and legacy, together with serving as govt producer on her 1997 biopic and taking part in a later Netflix sequence about her profession.

Quintanilla’s explanation for demise is unknown at press time.
