San Antonio Spurs to host closing rally subsequent week head of enviornment vote

San Antonio Spurs supporters are organizing a rally this Monday at downtown’s Legacy Park as a last-ditch effort to construct assist for a brand new, publicly funded basketball enviornment. 

The occasion, dubbed “Vote, Spurs, Vote,” will kick off at 6 p.m. and have a visitor look from former Spurs star and NBA Champion Sean Elliott. 

Different high-profile attendees embrace superstar cooks Johnny Hernandez and Jason Dady, Centro CEO Trish DeBerry and San Antonio tech entrepreneur Lorenzo Gomez III. 

San Antonio developer Weston City is sponsoring the occasion. 

The rally comes days after a ballot performed by UT-San Antonio discovered that the most important share of Bexar County voters surveyed, 46%, have been against a publicly financed new downtown enviornment. 

The rally is being held on the primary day of early voting for the Nov. 4 election, which runs Oct. 20-31. 

Residents can examine in the event that they’re registered to vote and find polling stations by visiting the Bexar County Elections Division web site.
