A vivid mix of pictures, set up, and creativeness, Sandy Skoglund: Enchanting Nature unfolds throughout three immersive rooms full of larger-than-life sculptures. The primary room, “Recent Hybrid”, brings collectively three human figures lined in brightly coloured felt alongside human-esque bushes with legs as roots, all entwined in a pipe-cleaner paradise. The mesmerizing colours of sun-drenched orange, emerald inexperienced and ocean blue entrance you so and the comfortable texture of the pipe cleaners enhances the surreal nature of the set up. Ensure to look intently on the branches of the bushes for they’re blossoming with yellow child chicks!
The second room has been overtaken by neon inexperienced cats, crawling all through a gray-toned residence, speaking and interacting with one another as cats do. “Radioactive Cats”, together with the opposite installations, speaks to the resilience of nature and the uneasy pressure between people and the pure world.
In “Revenge of the Goldfish”, the ultimate room, you’re transported into an aquatic bed room alive with 119 handmade ceramic goldfish. Not confined to a bowl on the counter, these luminous creatures have taken over the area completely, illustrating the quiet triumph of small, lovely creatures.
