Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones’ first chief of workers lasted lower than a month on the job.
Jordan Abelson, a Pennsylvania native who served as Jones’ marketing campaign supervisor, resigned Saturday after deciding the position wasn’t match.
Since being sworn in June 18, Jones had made few hires within the mayor’s workplace. Metropolis Corridor insiders have been perplexed by the problem, in addition to the shortage of native expertise in Jones’ internal circle, for a progressive mayor in a blue metropolis.
Abelson, 27, began as her marketing campaign’s communications director and was promoted to marketing campaign supervisor after the primary marketing campaign supervisor was fired.
“I received her to the place she wanted to be to do all the great issues that she is going to do for the town of San Antonio,” Abelson mentioned on Saturday. “It was an honor to work for her and I’m excited for my subsequent journey!”
