Artist Leticia Huerta’s fanciful flower sculptures attain towards the solar in parks throughout town.
The collection, titled “Bloom,” is a part of town’s public artwork program. It started with three 12-foot-tall flowers planted on the trailhead of the Mud Creek Loop in McAllister Park in 2019. Every was product of metallic items designed to recommend large bicycle elements, a nod to the cyclists who journey previous them. In addition they evoke particular wildflowers that may be present in that park.
Guests had been so taken with the large blossoms that town’s Division of Arts & Tradition collaborated with the Parks and Recreation Division to plant extra items in different spots.
