Texas A&M College-San Antonio microbiologist Davida Smyth has received the ASM Carski Award for Undergraduate Schooling, college officers stated Monday.

The distinguished award comes from the American Society for Microbiology, knowledgeable group created in 1899 to advance microbial sciences. Greater than 32,000 educators, scientists and healthcare staff belong to the group, in keeping with the ASM.
