Culinary Improvement Government Chef Denis Dello Stritto places the ending touches on the record-breaking charcuterie board at Central Market.

San Antonio-based grocery store chain H-E-B opened its first Central Market retailer in September 1994 in Austin. As part of its thirtieth anniversary celebration, the specialty grocery retailer took on mission of breaking the Guiness World File for “the most important charcuterie board on the earth to be created and consumed.”

The record-breaking feat, undertaken Wednesday, included layering 1,000 kilos of meats, cheeses, fruits and nuts onto a 12-by-24-foot board. Visitors have been invited to indulge within the record-breaking unfold on the North Lamar retailer whereas sipping drinks and having fun with reside music.

“We’re past excited to have a good time Central Market’s 30 years, and what higher option to mark this milestone anniversary than with a food-themed Guinness World File?” Paul Harty, the shop’s basic supervisor, stated in a press assertion.
