NBC Information reporter Jake Traylor, the son of UTSA head soccer coach Jeff Traylor, shielded a fellow journalist from the gunfire throughout Saturday’s failed try by a person to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a marketing campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
As pictures rang out and chaos unfolded, Traylor, who’s overlaying the presidential marketing campaign for NBC, acted quick to guard ABC correspondent Rachel Scott within the press pool, overlaying her on the bottom. Scott expressed gratitude to Traylor, safety and others in a tweet, sharing video of the second the press hit the bottom.

A bullet grazed Trump’s ear, inflicting streaks of blood to run down the presumptive GOP nominee’s face as Secret Service brokers surrounded him and escorted him to the motorcade. One spectator was killed and three others critically injured.
Coach Traylor launched an announcement saying he is happy with his son, who’s “simply wired otherwise.”
