U.S. Rep. Greg Casar joined West Facet leaders and housing advocates on Friday to have a good time his workplace securing almost $3 million for San Antonio affordable-housing initiatives.

Throughout a gathering on the workplaces of the Mexican American Unity Council, Casar — a Democrat whose district contains each Austin and the Alamo Metropolis — trumpeted the supply of grants to the Esperanza Peace and Justice Middle, Mexican American Unity Council and Alternative Dwelling San Antonio. All three organizations utilized for grants by way of his workplace.

The Esperanza Peace and Justice Middle landed $1,050,000 for its Esperanza Neighborhood Land Belief, which works to guard current low-income housing on the historic Westside and to maintain residents from being pushed out by rising prices.
