Swimming within the San Antonio River is a misdemeanor offense punishable by a $500 positive.

A video of a person swimming laps within the San Antonio River has gone viral on social media, leaving many commenters on the clip expressing revulsion and disgust.

Within the footage, a person with a bowl-style haircut model many in South Texas discuss with because the “Edgar” swims freestyle alongside the San Pedro Creek extension of the River Stroll. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Edgar is swimming in S.A. Riverwalk!” reads a caption on the clip.

The video has garnered greater than 1,500 likes and practically 100 feedback since being posted on Monday by the Instagram account @sanantoniofoo.

Evidently, loads of commenters have been appalled by the person’s option to swim within the waterway basketball commentator Charles Barkley, a frequent San Antonio detractor as soon as known as a “muddy creek.” Some even expressed concern for poor Edgar’s well being.

“Now he bought 20 arms and 10 legs,” consumer @prettygirltrapz commented. “4 toes and eight toes on every. God damnit.”

Others warned that the person was swimming in water contaminated with bodily waste.

“I’ve actually seen homeless folks and drunk folks pee in that,” consumer @the_lovely_lupita wrote.

Regardless of the considerations, Edgar is not the primary, nor seemingly the final, particular person to take a dip within the San Antonio River.
