Named after a genus of fungi identified for the way in which it may throw its spores from distances as much as 3 toes and its presence in herbivore dung (nicknames embody “hat-throwers” and “dung-cannons”), Pilobolus is an imaginative dance firm based at Dartmouth Faculty in 1971.
