The combat broke out after Texas A&M-Commerce’s Prince Davies appeared to alternate phrases with UIW’s Alex Anderson.

The NCAA’s Southland Convention has suspended 4 College of the Incarnate Phrase and 4 Texas A&M-Commerce males’s hoops gamers after a Monday night time brawl that drew nationwide consideration.

In a Wednesday assertion, the Southland Convention Board of Administrators mentioned a smackdown between the groups at San Antonio’s Alice P. McDermott Convocation Middle constituted a violation of the convention’s “clear expectations for sportsmanship and conduct.”

UIW Cardinals level guard Elijah Davis are suspended for 3 video games, whereas guard Alex Anderson, middle Gabe Beny Til and ahead Marcus Glover will sit out two video games every.

Texas A&M Commerce forwards Jerome Brewer Jr., Kwo Agwa and guard Ant Abraham will probably be out for 3 video games, whereas guard Prince Davies acquired a one-game suspension.

“The Southland Convention Board of Administrators has set clear expectations for sportsmanship and conduct of our student-athletes, coaches and spectators throughout and after competitions,” convention Commissioner Chris Grant mentioned in an announcement. “Sadly, these expectations weren’t met on Monday night time, and the Southland Convention is not going to tolerate any unsportsmanlike conduct.”

UIW grabbed nationwide headlines this week after an all-out brawl broke out following the varsity’s 76-72 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce.

The 90-second combat, which aired in actual time on ESPN+, started after A&M-Commerce’s Davies appeared to have exchanged phrases with UIW’s Anderson.
