Maverick Distilling has launched a Restricted-Version Samuel Maverick Double Barrel Bourbon.

San Antonio-based Maverick Distilling is kicking off the 2024 Rodeo season with a restricted particular version of its Samuel Maverick Double Barrel Bourbon.

The brand new Samuel Maverick Double Barrel Bourbon Rodeo Version was distilled from a mash of 72% Texas-grown corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, in line with particulars shared by the distillery. After being aged on-site for 2 to three years, the spirit was completed in a Samuel Maverick Personal Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey barrel 18 extra months.

“With this particular launch, we’re honoring the seventy fifth Anniversary of the San Antonio Inventory Present and Rodeo and the individuals who make it profitable 12 months after 12 months,” Maverick Distilling co-founder Kenneth Maverick mentioned in an emailed assertion. “The Rodeo and Western heritage have an essential place within the cloth of San Antonio’s historical past, and we’re paying homage to the cowboy and all the rodeo volunteers who hold this heritage alive.”

So, how’s it go down? The distillery’s tasting notes determine a velvety mouthfeel with creme brûlée, candy caramel and cola flavors highlighted on the palate. What’s extra, the whiskey presents deep earthiness with notes of vanilla and caramel on the nostril and finishes silkily with hints of rye spiciness.

The 115-proof Double Barrel Bourbon Rodeo Whiskey is non-chill filtered and hand-bottled at a hefty 57.5% ABV.

The restricted version sauce is obtainable solely on the downtown distillery, 115 Broadway. It retails for $75 per bottle, and solely 107 had been made.
