Tony Parker’s No. 9 jersey returned to the rafters of San Antonio’s Frost Financial institution Middle on Sunday throughout an emotional ceremony previous to the Spurs’ matchup in opposition to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The jersey had been eliminated briefly to sew “Corridor of Fame” to the banner. Parker was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Corridor of Fame in 2019 alongside Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, former assistant coach Becky Hammon and former participant Pao Gasol.

Though Parker left San Antonio for Charlotte throughout his remaining season within the NBA, the Spurs legend instructed the group on the Frost Financial institution Middle that the Alamo Metropolis will at all times be residence.

“I have been very nostalgic these days. It is good to see these reminiscences, and also you, by far, by far, are the very best followers on the planet,” Parker instructed the group after a spotlight video performed on the jumbotron. “Thanks for the assist. You all adopted me. San Antonio is residence for me and at all times will probably be residence. So, thanks very a lot.”
Parker now joins Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, George Gervin and David Robinson as Corridor of Famers whose numbers have been retired by the Spurs.
