The seven-time Grand Slam champion will talk about themes together with dedication and management.

Tennis legend Venus Williams is coming to San Antonio’s Trinity College this winter as a 2023-2024 distinguished lecturer, college officers stated Wednesday.

In a dialog moderated by Trinity College President Vanessa B. Beasley, the seven-time Grand Slam champion will talk about themes together with dedication and management whereas delving into the intersection of sports activities, tradition and private progress.

“Venus Williams’ story resonates with our college’s spirit of mental curiosity, confidence and creativity,” Beasley stated in an announcement. “After all, we additionally honor her influence on the game of tennis, itself integral to Trinity’s historical past of putting up with excellence. I’m delighted we’ll host her on campus for what will likely be a memorable lecture.”

Williams will converse at Trinity’s Laurie Auditorium at 7: 30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

Though the occasion is free and open to the general public, all company should reserve tickets by visiting or calling the Laurie Auditorium Field Workplace, which is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday via Friday.

Tickets for college students, school and employees will change into obtainable Nov. 6, whereas alumni must wait till Nov. 13 to order their seats. Reservations will likely be obtainable to most people Nov. 27, whereas provides final.
