San Antonio’s Rock’ n’ Roll Marathon attracts round 20,000 contributors every year, in response to organizers.

Time to hit the pavement: the Rock ‘n’ Roll Operating Collection has launched this yr’s official course.

The 2-day occasion will kick off Dec. 2 with 5K and 10K races, adopted by a half-marathon and marathon on Dec. 3, in response to particulars shared on its web site. The programs for the 5K and 10K have been up to date and now begin at West Houston Road and North Santa Rosa Road, positioned on the west finish of downtown.

Traditionally, the 5K and 10K distances have began at Sundown Station.

The brand new programs will then take runners east alongside Houston, north alongside Freeway 37 and northwest on Jones Avenue. The 5K route will then circle again to Travis Park, whereas the 10K route will lead runners north of downtown to San Antonio School earlier than concluding — like the opposite route — at Travis Park.

The half-marathon and marathon will begin at Metropolis Corridor and take runners and walkers north to Broadway and Brackenridge Park earlier than ending in entrance of the UTSA downtown campus.

This yr marks the fifteenth anniversary of the Rock ‘n’ Roll operating occasion in San Antonio. It sometimes hosts 20,000 contributors yearly.

A full map and registration data is on the market on the occasion web site.
